Booking the wrong vehicle wastes money or, worse, fails to load. Use this guide to match consignments to the DARY-SEB Logistics fleet — from nimble small vans to full artics.
Panel vans: SV, SWB, LWB, XLWB
Small Van (SV) — around 450kg payload and 1 UK pallet. Ideal for parcels, documents and light trade counter runs.
SWB — about 800kg and 2 pallets. A workhorse for multi-drop parcels and small freight.
LWB — roughly 1,200kg and 3 pallets. Extra length for bulkier cartons and light pallet work.
XLWB — long-body panel van capacity for long items and higher cube (check payload; length and weight trade off).
Luton and rigid HGVs
Luton (box or curtainside) lifts cube for bulky goods — typically up to 6 pallets at 850–900kg payload class.
7.5t covers around 10 pallets and 2.2–2.6t payload for regional distribution.
18t / 26t with box, curtainside and tail-lift options step up to 14–16 pallets and multi-tonne payloads for heavier freight.
Artic takes you to ~26 pallets and up to 26t payload for trunking and bulk moves.
Checklist before you book
- Total weight and largest single item dimensions
- Pallet count, type and stack height
- Side load vs rear load; tail-lift requirement
- Site access, height barriers and booking-in rules
- Urban congestion vs motorway trunking
